Flags and Banners
We encourage you to arrange Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander
flag raising ceremonies at your organisation early in the
week and to fly the flags throughout the week. NAIDOC Perth
is working with the City of Perth to have Aboriginal and Torres
Strait Islander banners and flags displayed through the city
during NAIDOC Week 2010. We encourage Aboriginal and Torres
Strait Islander people and organisations to consult and work
with their local councils for the same purpose.
Welcome
to Country
If you are having a NAIDOC Week event, it is protocol to arrange
a Welcome to Country. If that is not possible, it is protocol
to at least acknowledge the traditional owners.
