NAIDOC Perth Awards
The NAIDOC Perth Awards honour the outstanding achievements of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander individuals, organisations and businesses in Perth. NAIDOC Perth have been managing these awards since 2007. Between 2007 and 2011 the Awards were announced at the NAIDOC Perth Opening Ceremony. In 2012, they were held two weeks prior to NAIDOC Week at the Governor's Ball Room.
2013 Awards
THE CEREMONY
The 2013 NAIDOC Perth Awards will be held at The Hyatt Regency Perth on Thursday the 20th of June. The event will start at 6.00pm with guests asked to attend the pre-dinner celebrations in the Hyatt foyer. Hosted by channel ten TV presenter, Narelda Jacobs the evening will see twelve awards presented to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander individuals, communities and organisations that have achieved and excelled within the Perth community. The evening will also showcase some of Western Australia's finest Aboriginal talent including Bidyadanga community singer/songwriter - John Bennett, Noongar comedian - Derek Nannup, the Miss NAIDOC Perth 2013 contestants and Motown group, The Merindas.
TICKETS
Tickets are available at a discounted price of $79.95 per person, which includes food, drinks and entertainment. The event has a maximum capacity of 300 people.
